The scheme involved the complete refurbishment of an existing banquet hall of a hotel in Juhu to provide for a ambience keeping in view the existing overall décor of the hotel. The wooden paneling on wall is reminiscent of gothic arch and follow a repeat pattern intercepted in between by paintings to break the monotony of the paneling. All existing columns were cladded with wooden paneling in circular shape complimented with a unique colourful pattern on the capital of the column thus soothening the presence of large columns in the midst of the banquet hall and becoming a design element. A huge central chandelier adds grace to the overall ambience.
For this project Alok interacted with the Directors of Citizen Hotels, to develop the banquet hall design concept as per their design brief. The project design intent drawings and construction details were developed to minimize the cost by reuse of old material salvaged from existing interiors.
