This was an All India competition project for a Five Star Hotel at Nagpur which was one of the notable design entry out of over 200 architects entries from all over India.
For this project Ar.Alok Sharma conceptualized the design to develop the hotel design concept. He produced the presentation and design intent drawings package for submission to the organizers of the competition M/s. Orbit Motels & Inns Ltd. The area of the triangular shaped plot was 2.02 acres and the total built-up area proposed was about 2.25 lac sft. The project received the certificate of appreciation from the organizers and was short-listed for display as notable entry to the design competition .
The entire architectural concept for the hotel has been developed by Ar.Alok Sharma, working closely with his assistants to produce the design proposals keeping in view the complex structural and services aspects to produce a unique and an eye catching structure with in a constraint of triangular shape plot which was a challenge in itself aptly addressed by the final design output.
